Teens Using Plastic Surgery to Deal with Body Image Issues

Nearly 1 in 6 of 15- to 25-year-olds have considered breast implants, nose jobs, liposuction or other cosmetic procedures, according to a survey from global marketing agency InSites Consulting.

Each year, thousands of them go through with the procedures. Nearly 77,000 teenagers (US) underwent elective plastic surgery last year, accounting for 5 percent of all cosmetic surgical procedures performed in 2011, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
